KORE (Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise Initiative) is a non-profit organization based in Kimberley, British Columbia. It serves as an industry alliance for over 60 craft outdoor gear manufacturers and designers in the Kootenay region. KORE’s mission is to promote growth through education, collaboration, and connecting businesses with resources, grants, and financing.

KORE offers a variety of services to support the outdoor recreation gear industry. These include business support and networking opportunities, educational resources, and funding access. The organization also runs the Re-Hub Program, which provides mobile gear repair services and promotes sustainability. KORE hosts events like the KORE Summit, the only conference in Canada dedicated to outdoor recreation gear manufacturing, and the KORE Outdoors Speaker Series, featuring industry leaders. Additionally, KORE produces a podcast that shares insights from outdoor gear business owners across North America.
