

The Black Female Accountants Network (BFAN) is a professional organization established in 2016 by Jenny Okonkwo. It aims to support Black women in accounting and finance, addressing their underrepresentation in the industry. BFAN is rooted in Christian values and focuses on empowerment, professional development, and community building.
With over 1,500 members across Canada and internationally, BFAN provides a collaborative platform for networking, mentorship, and leadership development. The organization hosts various events, including small-group discussions, large conferences like the Annual Women in Leadership Summit, and workshops to enhance career growth. Additionally, BFAN offers mentorship programs, professional development training, and advocacy initiatives to highlight the achievements of Black women in finance.
