Indigenous Works is a national, Indigenous-led, not-for-profit organization established in 1998. It was created in response to the 1996 Report on the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, with a mission to enhance Indigenous engagement in the Canadian economy and reduce the socio-economic gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. The organization is ISO 9001 certified, ensuring high-quality standards in its operations.
Indigenous Works offers a range of services and programs aimed at improving Indigenous employment and workplace inclusion. These include the Leadership Circle Membership Program, the Navigating Employment Program, and the Employer of Choice Program, which certifies organizations committed to inclusivity. They also provide instructor-led virtual training on Indigenous cultural awareness, advisory services on employment strategies, and host the Inclusion Works Annual Event to promote workforce inclusion. The organization collaborates with various partners across Canada, including both Indigenous and non-Indigenous entities, to further its mission.
