The Canadian Black Scientists Network (CBSN) is a national organization focused on supporting and promoting Black Canadians in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine/Health (STEMM). Founded in 2020, CBSN aims to elevate and connect Black Canadians pursuing or holding advanced degrees in these fields.
The network fosters inclusion and visibility by creating a safe space for its members and addressing barriers faced by Black academics in STEMM. CBSN offers mentorship and networking opportunities, allowing members to connect with academics, graduate students, and professionals across Canada. The organization also engages in community activities, conferences, and policy discussions to enhance professional development and influence within STEMM.
