The ELITE Program for Black Youth is an initiative based in Alberta, Canada, aimed at providing experiential learning opportunities in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship for Black youth aged 15 to 22. The program focuses on equipping participants with essential skills for careers in advanced manufacturing and technology sectors, including robotics and automation. It is supported by a multidisciplinary team of experts from institutions like the University of Alberta and InnoTech Alberta, along with various industry partners.

Key services offered by the ELITE Program include hands-on training through work-integrated learning, paid internships, entrepreneurship and leadership training, and wellness and resilience coaching. Participants engage in real projects, gaining practical experience in STEM fields while developing their entrepreneurial skills. The program is funded by the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Program and collaborates with organizations such as Edmonton Unlimited and the Black Business Ventures Association to enhance the learning experience and support participants in overcoming barriers to entry in the labor market.

The Rossy Cancer Network is a partnership of McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) and St. Mary’s Hospital Center (SMHC), dedicated to providing world-class patient care and research. The services offered by OkRx include digital management of prior authorization forms and patient support program enrollments, coordination of patient support programs through mobile applications, and collaboration tools for healthcare providers. Additionally, OkRx provides data analytics and reporting to optimize drug brand performance and patient support programs. Their product lineup features the OkRx ManageMed™ CRM, designed specifically for specialty medication workflows, and mobile applications that assist patients in tracking their medication journey.

The Health & Technology District is a collaborative space located near Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, British Columbia. It brings together entrepreneurs, scientists, clinicians, and health professionals to enhance health outcomes through technology and innovation. The district promotes collaboration and clinical studies, providing an environment conducive to the growth of health-tech companies.

In addition to its Surrey location, there is a Health & Technology District in Saint John, New Brunswick, which aims to be a key hub for digital health and technology in Atlantic Canada. This district is being developed in phases with a focus on economic growth and job creation. The Health & Technology District partners with various stakeholders, including educational institutions and healthcare providers, to foster opportunities for health technology projects. Its vision is to improve healthcare delivery by uniting innovators to create impactful solutions.
