The fitness industry is shifting: gone (or at least dwindling) are the days of no-pain-no-gain body building workouts, and in are the days of movement patterning exercise programs. It’s not just about muscles; it’s about function, injury and disease prevention, and helping people be the strongest versions of themselves.
The Fortis Forma mission is to create an engaging environment to help Fitness Coaches further their education, from both a hard skills technical standpoint and soft skills client centered approach. Knowing a movement exists is different from knowing how a movement should look, which is also different from coaching a client through a movement properly to ensure they understand and get the most out of it. If the latter is accomplished, this will help people be the strongest movers they can be.

Resilient Kids Canada is a registered charity based in Burlington, Ontario, dedicated to helping children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills for resilience. The organization focuses on early childhood development, targeting children aged 3 to 8, and provides resources to parents, caregivers, and educators to foster supportive environments.

The charity offers a variety of programs and resources, including the Inspiration Zone, which features motivational content, and the Kids’ Zone, which provides interactive games and activities for play-based learning. The Grown-up Zone includes *Resiliency U*, a virtual boot camp for adults to learn strategies for nurturing resilience in children. Additionally, the Evidence Zone centralizes research and data on childhood resilience, making it accessible for users.

Resilient Kids Canada collaborates with various institutions to enhance its offerings and provides free resources online, ensuring accessibility for all. The organization is led by CEO Jan Kasperski and operates with the support of donations and grants.

It is dedicated to protecting the public by ensuring that professionals in this field adhere to high standards of practice and certification. OPC engages in various activities, including education, certification, and advocacy for the orthotic and prosthetic community.

The organization supports the certification process for Certified Orthotists, Certified Prosthetists, and Certified Prosthetist Orthotists. It promotes education through accredited Canadian Clinical Orthotic and Prosthetic School Programs and facilitates professional networking through events like its annual national conference. OPC also provides resources to help the public find qualified professionals and learn more about orthotics and prosthetics.
