Recharjme cabins require a space of approximately 3.5′ x 7.5′ and can be easily assembled by the Recharjme team. Accessible via a mobile app, the service allows users to book sessions conveniently, promoting privacy and safety with features like tinted glass doors and emergency alert systems.

Recharjme’s cabins have been installed in numerous hospitals and companies across Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick, contributing to enhanced employee productivity and well-being.

The Women’s Brain Health Initiative (WBHI) is a charitable foundation based in Canada and the U.S., established in 2012. It is dedicated to protecting and promoting women’s brain health through education, research funding, and advocacy. The organization focuses on creating preventative health education solutions that aim to safeguard mental wellness and prolong cognitive vitality specifically for women.

WBHI addresses the gender disparity in brain health research, particularly concerning Alzheimer’s disease, which affects a significant majority of women. The initiative funds research projects, raises public awareness, and provides educational resources to empower women in maintaining their cognitive health. It also organizes events like the annual Women’s Brain Health Day to engage the public and promote tailored brain health education. Through community involvement and collaboration with academic institutions, WBHI works to advance understanding and solutions related to women’s brain health issues.

The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization offering free services for individuals and families affected by cancer, living in the greater region of Hamilton and surrounding communities.

The services offered by CAP are practical and tangible in nature. They have a focus on creating access and removing barriers, promoting personal safety, reducing or eliminating financial burden and offering individuals with cancer the opportunity to live more comfortably, with dignity and improved emotional health. The mission of CAP is to support, educate and empower individuals and families touched by cancer through programs and services provided free of charge.

Services include transportation to and from medical appointments, loans of home health equipment, limited access to parking for cancer-related appointments taking place at the Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) and Juravinski Hospital, as well as monthly issuances of adult incontinence products and oral nutritional supplements. Wigs, breast prostheses and mastectomy bras are also available. All services are available free of charge for as long as needed.

Delivering these much needed services are compassionate and caring volunteers. Over 100 volunteers contribute their time every year to service delivery as well as Cancer Assistance Program planning, fund development activities and organizational governance, alongside four full-time and two part-time staff.

The Cancer Assistance Program is not in receipt of sustainable government funding. It relies greatly on the generosity of the community and the proceeds of special events held throughout the year.
