The Ontario Workplace Health Coalition (OWHC) is an incorporated, not-for-profit body; serving as a unifying structure across the province; helping to facilitate communication among workplace health stakeholders; and promoting the importance of using a comprehensive approach to create healthy and safe workplaces in Ontario.

With the assistance of members and healthy workplace stakeholders, the Coalition has prepared a Healthy Workplace Handbook intended for use in all Ontario workplaces. It was developed to assist Ontario organizations in initiating and sustaining their own healthy workplace programs. As well, the Coalition has developed a Proposal for an Ontario Comprehensive Workplace Health Strategy. The Proposal supports the development of a strategy for comprehensive workplace health (CWH) at the provincial level and aims to establish a common guideline by which Ontario organizations can integrate CWH into their core business plans.

Founded in July 2019 by Traci Shepheard, it is recognized as Canada’s first mobile meditation studio, featuring a vintage 1972 Airstream known as the “Pause Lounge.” The company focuses on creating accessible spaces for individuals to take a “Purposeful Pause” and prioritize their mental well-being.

The services offered by MeditationWorks include guided mindfulness and meditation sessions, breathwork techniques, mindful movement activities, and educational sessions on mindful nutrition. They also facilitate group discussions on mental health and provide brain fitness activities. These services are delivered through a mobile studio that visits organizations directly and virtual sessions for remote teams, ensuring flexibility and convenience for participants. MeditationWorks is committed to improving mental health and has conducted over 700 live workplace wellness experiences globally, supporting various organizations in fostering a culture of wellness.

Innovative Case Management Inc. (ICM) is a Canadian company that specializes in community-based case management and rehabilitation services. ICM focuses on providing support for individuals with complex injuries, particularly those resulting from motor vehicle accidents or acquired brain injuries. The company emphasizes client-centered care and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate recovery and community integration.

ICM offers a range of services, including case management, occupational therapy, rehabilitation consulting, and vocational counseling. Their case management services involve overseeing individualized care plans and coordinating medical, vocational, and therapeutic services. Occupational therapy focuses on functional assessments and interventions to enhance daily living skills. Additionally, ICM provides specialized support for clients facing brain injuries, physical disabilities, or psychological challenges, as well as assistance with employment reintegration and skill development.

The leadership team includes Ellie Lapowich, the owner and director, Mark Lapowich, the executive director, and Laura Bellon, a rehabilitation consultant with expertise in brain injury and community resource coordination.

HeadsUpGuys is a resource built to support men in their fight against depression by providing tips, tools, information about professional services, and stories of success. Our project was created in partnership with the University of British Columbia.
