BC Builders Code is a workplace culture initiative dedicated to establishing a standardized code of conduct for the construction industry in British Columbia. Its mission is to create safer, more inclusive, and productive work environments by addressing behavioral standards and reducing risks related to harassment, discrimination, and bullying.
The initiative offers workplace culture training, educational programs, and partnership development to support employers in communicating behavioral expectations and ensuring compliance with safety standards. It provides a Code of Conduct Framework that defines an “Acceptable Workplace” standard, along with resource toolkits to help employers implement these standards effectively. BC Builders Code collaborates with various industry stakeholders, including regional construction associations and safety organizations, to promote best practices in recruitment, retention, and workplace safety.
