

The Schroeder Arthritis Institute is Canada’s largest multidisciplinary arthritis program, located at Toronto Western Hospital, part of the University Health Network in Toronto. Established with a $25 million donation, the Institute integrates research, education, and clinical care, and is affiliated with the University of Toronto.
The Institute offers a variety of services, including programs in hand, orthopedics, osteoporosis, and rheumatology, addressing conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It conducts clinical trials to evaluate new treatments and provides comprehensive patient care, with over 80,000 outpatient visits each year. The Schroeder Arthritis Institute is dedicated to advancing research and education in arthritis, training clinicians and scientists in the latest methodologies and treatments. With a team of 51 scientists, 113 trainees, and 200 staff members, it plays a significant role in improving patient outcomes and is recognized as a leading center for arthritis research and treatment.
