

POCAM (People of Colour in Advertising & Marketing) is a Canadian non-profit organization founded in 2020. It aims to promote equity and representation for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) in the advertising and marketing sectors. With a membership of over 800, POCAM serves as an advocacy and support network, tackling systemic inequities through research, education, and accountability initiatives.
The organization conducts the annual Visible & Vocal Survey to track the demographics and workplace experiences of BIPOC professionals. It also offers the Call for Equity Progress Tracker, which allows agencies to report on their equity commitments. POCAM hosts educational events, including panels and workshops, and runs advocacy campaigns that have secured commitments from numerous Canadian organizations to address inequities. Additionally, it collaborates with industry partners to strengthen collective advocacy efforts and provides resources like research reports and toolkits for inclusive marketing strategies.
