The Internationally Trained Physicians of Ontario (ITPO) is an organization established in 2021 by a group of Internationally Trained Physicians (ITPs) and Canadian Trained Physicians. ITPO aims to connect immigrant physicians with the Canadian healthcare system, focusing on the underutilization of their medical skills in Ontario.

ITPO supports ITPs in navigating the licensure process and integrating into the healthcare system. The organization advocates for policy changes and works to create more pathways to licensure for internationally trained physicians. It addresses physician shortages in Ontario by promoting inclusive licensure options, such as practice-ready assessments and regulated clinical assistant roles. ITPO serves primarily ITPs and International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who face challenges in entering the Canadian healthcare workforce.
